F.O.B.S.
Friends Of Belchamp School is an organisation of enthusiastic parents and friends who work together to raise funds to support the school and provide fun and enjoyable events for parents, carers and children. If you have children at the school then you are already a 'Friend'.
We have regular meetings to organise fundraising events and we're always on the lookout for new members, so please come and lend your support.
New parents are always welcome on the committee.
Chair: Elaine Bell
Secretary: Sue Lawson
Treasurer: Gail Bevan
Committee Members: Tricia Talbot, Abby Quick, Peter Hesketh, Maria Grimwood, Alexis Roper, Julie Dain, Vicki Jackson
What happens to the money we raise?
All money raised is ploughed back into the school to help support the children and teaching staff and to provide a great learning environment.
This year FOBS has contributed to:
-
the class 3 leavers' bowling trip
-
new maths equipment for class 2
-
new shrubs and plants for the school frontage and class 1 garden
-
blinds for the school hall
-
transport to the Christmas pantomime
Summer Fun Run
It was a beautifully sunny day, and the community obviously preferred eating to running as the barbeque, Pimms tent, beer tent, ice cream and cakes all went down a storm.
We made the most of the opportunity to eat again at the sports day, and the two events raised a combined total of
£1,071.29
Well done to all, and a big THANK YOU.

Time to reduce, re-use and recycle those uniform items that your children have grown out of. Place them in the bin in the school reception area and we will collect them. We hope to have regular sales.
Please come along
All parents and staff are welcome to attend our meetings. These are usually informal gatherings at the local pub. Watch the school notice board for dates of meetings. Your help and ideas will be very welcome.
